[Anime Review] Kill la Kill

So, as anyone who has read any of my anime reviews post-Gurren Lagann will know, I really like Gurren Lagann. However, it turns out the team behind Gurren Lagann made other shows that are a) not Gurren Lagann and b) actually quite good as well. It behooved me to check them out, and so I was recommended the show about a girl who wears a magical brassiere with blood powers: let’s get into Kill la Kill!

[Anime Review] Nichijou

In order to keep my anime education going, I was finally forced to stop rewatching Gurren Lagann and watch something that isn’t really shounen anime, but instead a more comedic, slice-of-life genre of show. And then Nichijou was placed in front of me. So, uh… here we go?

[2017] Yearly Review

Alright, here we go. It’s the 30th, we’re staring at the new year ahead of us with a mixture of excitement and uncontrollable disgust, and we’re going to regret staying up to celebrate New Year’s because we’ve realised that the first day of 2018 is a Monday and is therefore the worst possible date for New Year’s Day. But who cares? It’s time for the Yearly Review, where I’ll be going over all the stuff I reviewed in the last year to rank it all. And, like that one guy who has more poker chips than everyone else combined, we’ll see how it all stacks up in the end.

[Anime Review] Yu-Gi-Oh!

Well, there’s nothing that screams ‘shounen’ quite like this ancient, classic anime. I don’t use classic positively, though. Yu-Gi-Oh!, the anime that inspired a million memes and just as many poor voice acting decisions: but how many people can claim to have actually watched it? Well, not me – I only watched up to episode 6. There are many reasons why, but it basically boils down to Yu-Gi-Oh! being as predictable and boring as the weather in the middle of an arid desert. And being shit.

[Anime Review] Black Clover

I had nothing better to play this week (I am making progress in Cuphead, I promise) so I decided that I’d use the time to wax lyrical on the anime I watched and dropped quickly afterwards: Black Clover – most notably, the first few episodes. Since, well, they’re all I’ve seen of it.

[Anime Review] Gurren Lagann

More anime. Looks like this is becoming a regular thing, so I suppose there’s not much I can do but keep talking about various anime shows until I can convince other people that I actually know what I’m talking about. That said, I’ve finished watching all 27 episodes of Gurren Lagann; so how does it compare to the other shows I’ve seen? Or show, I suppose, since I’ve only really seen My Hero Academia. WARNING: This is going to be very spoiler heavy. Because I have a few things I absolutely need to discuss later on.

[Anime Review] My Hero Academia Season 2

Here we are once again. For this new season of My Hero Academia, I decided to actually converse with knowledgeable anime guru and my friend, Harry, for a joint review. So, without any further ado, a 2-person discussion/review for a second season. Somewhat fitting, no? Take it away, Harry!

Harry: I mean, you’re the one who requested me, so you start.
